Sweet ‘n’ Spicy Vampire defense

I know the title sounds like something for Halloween but it’s not. It’s basically a dip with looots of garlic. I love garlic and can’t live without it. And I thought of mixing it up a little or may I say spicing it up a little? I wanted to experiment a little and this is what turned it turned out to be. A sweet and spicy garlic dip. It’s perfect for any party or snack. The sweetness and unexpected spiciness just wows everyone every time. It call up for a do over and the bowl ends up empty in the end. And an empty plate or bowl calls for a very happy cook. 🙂

Let’s get our defense on!

Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients for 12 portions:

  • 200 gr sour cream
  • 300 gr cream cheese
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 100 gr dates
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp tabasco
  • 5 tsp Salt
  • Pepper to taste

Utensils:

  • Garlic press
  • Mixing bowl

ToDo:

It’s pretty straight forward. Press your garlic cloves and mix all the ingredients together. Let it stand for about 2 hours. The dates take a while to unfold their inner sweetness. Lecker smacker!
