Simple yet Yummy Mashed Potatoes

Mashed potatoes aren’t just plain old mashed potatoes. Oh no! There are so many different varieties. Some a lumpy, some are extra creamy and some are instant (not a good choice by the way). Well this recipe is a little lumpy and yet very creamy, so it would be the perfect choice if your guests’ choice vary and you have to find a common denominator.

Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients for 2 portions:

  • 400 gr potatoes
  • 40 gr butter
  • 100 ml milk
  • 3 tbsp roasted onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Utensils:

  • Peeler
  • Potato masher
  • Cooking pot
  • Chopping board
  • Kitchen knife

ToDo:

Peel the skin of your potatoes. Then cut them up so they cook quicker and are easier to mash. Cook them in a pot filled with water for about 15 minutes. Drain the water and start mashing those potatoes of yours real good. Finally add the other ingredients and stir well. Don’t forget to taste your heart warming concoction. If you think there’s something missing, try experimenting and adding anything that comes to your mind. Maybe you are someone who needs a good old twist. Then just squeeze a quarter or so lime or lemon juice into the pot. Be fun, be free, be flavorful. Lecker smacker!
