Kiwi White Chocolate Dream with Hazelnuts

My friend’s favorite color is green and she gets euphoric whenever something is green. And since I was thinking of a dessert to end the evening with, my mind just suddenly went to the exotic and well known fruit kiwi. They’re green, they’re delicious and they have a slight sour like taste. I also wanted to finally use up the white chocolate I keep involuntarily hoarding. So as my mind always works it’s wonders when it comes to combining different ingredients, this dessert just came to my mind in a blink of an eye. While others seem to be talented when it comes to combining clothes, that talent seemed to have shifted towards food for me (not trying to sound cocky) which I absolutely have no trouble with and am thankful for.

Now let’s get cookin’!

Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients for 6 portions:

  • 250 gr quark
  • 50 ml milk
  • 100 gr white chocolate
  • 200 gr powdered sugar
  • 200 gr whipping cream
  • 4 kiwis
  • 150 gr crushed hazelnuts

  • 2 cooking pots
  • Mixing bowl
  • Peeler
  • Chopping board
  • Kitchen knife
  • Blender
  • Measuring cup
  • Mixer

Peel the kiwis, cut them up into small pieces and add them to your pot together with 200 gr powdered sugar. Heat the pot up until the sugar has dissolved and the kiwis are sizzling. Then blend this mixture until you get a smooth puree of good looking green stuff. Side it aside to cool. Now grab your second cooking pot and add the white chocolate and the milk and heat the pot up until the chocolate melts and stir to mix with the milk. Set the pot aside to cool. Now pour the whipping cream into the measuring cup and use the mixer to whip the cream. In your mixing bowl add the quark together with the melted chocolate mixture. Use the mixer to mix it all up well. Next fold in the whipped cream and you are basically done. All you have to do is portion your bowl of heaven. It’s best to use glass bowls so that you can enjoy the layers. The first layer at the bottom will be a layer of the cream like mixture, followed by a layer of crushed hazelnuts which is then followed by another layer of the cream like mixture. To top it all off, add a layer off your kiwi puree and you may enjoy your scrumptious showstopper! Lecker smacker!
