Vegan Bolognese

Have you ever tried using textured vegetable protein as a substitute for minced meat? You should! It tastes terrific and is nutritious at the same time. Of course it won’t taste the same as minced meat, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be equally tasty. And to make this meal even healthier I always use whole-wheat pasta. This doesn’t mean that you can quit sports and just eat healthy! It has to be a little of both worlds.

Time: 15 Minutes

Ingredients for 1 portion:

  • 40 gr textured vegetable protein
  • 200 gr tomato sauce
  • 100 ml water
  • 150 gr dried whole-wheat pasta

Utensils:

  • 2 cooking pots

ToDo:

Start with cooking the pasta. Follow the directions on the packaging. Now use your own precooked tomato sauce like I do and add the textured vegetable protein and some water into a pot and let it cook for about 10 minutes until the textured vegetable protein is soft. Now drain your pasta when it is done and add it to your bento box. Lastly pour your vegan bolognese sauce over your pasta and you’re done! Lecker smacker!
