Simple Snow Peas and Soy Sprouts

I bet everyone of you has his or her own trademark lazy Sunday kinda dish. Feel free to share in the comment section. This dish reminds me of where I come from. It’s a simple, yet delicious, fresh and healthy meal all rolled up into one. I tend to almost always grab some snow peas and soy sprouts when I am at the store for my typical Sunday night dinner. After a long week of working, socializing and of course not to forget cooking 😉 , I enjoy a peaceful Sunday night with this dish and a good old fashioned sitcom.

Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients for 2 portions:

  • 200 gr snow peas
  • 200 gr soy sprouts
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 thin slices of ginger (optional)
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp sunflower oil
  • Pepper to taste

Utensils:

  • Chopping board
  • Kitchen knife
  • Wok

ToDo:

Heat up the sunflower oil in your wok. Cut two slices of ginger and saute them in the wok. Then add the snow peas and stir fry them for about 4 minutes at a high heat. Add the soy sprouts, soy sauce, sesame oil and pepper and stir fry another 3 minutes at a high heat. And you’re done! Of course you can add other scrumptious veggies or meat to this dish. In my opinion this meal goes best with a bowl of heavenly hot steaming Thai jasmine rice. Lecker smacker!
